LEA 1016 - Criminal Investigations for Law Enforcement

This course introduces the student to criminal investigations within the various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies as it applies to law enforcement and meets all criminal investigations learning objectives established by the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy for Basic Police Officer Training. Emphasis is given to the theory, techniques, aids, technology, collection, and preservation procedures that ensure evidentiary integrity. Courtroom evidentiary procedures and techniques will be introduced. This course includes exercises and practical demonstrations related to criminal investigations.
