Computer Information Systems (AAS), Database Technology Concentration

Description

Database Technology prepares students to be Database Programmers or Analysts. Students use industry standards and are provided with extensive lab time. Students will also have the opportunity to gain Oracle certification.

For many organizations database systems are the most business-critical components of their information technology infrastructure. Databases drive accounting, human resources, inventory, sales and other key operations. Qualified database designers are in great demand to design, maintain and secure these systems for maximum efficiency and competitiveness. Students learn the theoretical and practical aspects of designing, developing, implementing, managing and maintaining major database management systems (DBMS).

This educational option is an:

  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Information Systems, Database Technology Concentration

This program can be completed:

  • Part-time or full-time. Full-time students can complete the program in four terms.

This program can be started:

  • Any term.

Primary course location:

  • Main Campus. Some courses are offered at Montoya Campus and the Advanced Technology Center.
