RADT 1140C - Radiographic Positioning/Lab I

Prerequisite: [BPCS 1092  or (NUAS 1110  + NUAS 1110L  + NUAS 1115 )] + BIOL 2210  + (ENGL 1110  or ENGL 1110P ) + Mathematics Requirement  + department approval
Pre- or corequisite: HLED 1117  + BIOL 2225  
Corequisite: RADT 1175  + RADT 2410  
This course covers the fundamental principles and techniques of diagnostic radiography, including radiographic procedures, patient positioning, terminology, and the mechanics of image production.  Students will learn and apply these concepts to the upper and lower extremities, chest, abdomen, and pelvis/hip.  The course emphasizes radiographic anatomy, particularly osteology and arthrology, as it relates to routine radiographic procedures.  Instruction includes lecture, demonstration, positioning Laboratory, and clinical observation.
