Entering Electric Vehicle, EV, students will study, through lab, lecture, online and hands-on training, the fundamentals of EV’s, which includes Introduction to Electric Vehicles, Electric Vehicle batteries and components, Electric Vehicle Design, Construction and Diagnostics, Automotive Electrical, Electric vehicle advanced control systems, Electric vehicle advanced electronic and drivability, Electric Vehicle heating ventilation and air conditioning and Electronic systems. Upon completion of the Electric Vehicle Technician Certificate, graduates will be eligible for entry level employment at facilities focused on Electric vehicles. Upon completion of the Electric Vehicle Technology Certificate program, graduates will be eligible for entry level employment at dealerships, independent repair facilities and fleet facilities.

Students are required to purchase textbooks, tools and personal safety equipment. One must not be allergic to fuels, oils and chemicals used in industry. Most employers require a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
