This CIS Artificial Intelligence certificate focuses on building machine learning models that can be used for predicting, making decisions and enhancing human capabilities. The program provides the knowledge and skills used in a variety of fields using artificial intelligence, including the information technology, automotive, healthcare, aerospace, industrial, and manufacturing industries. Program content includes an introduction to artificial intelligence and machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and artificial intelligence for business solutions and other applications.

Many of the courses in this degree are transferable and some may be applied to two and four-year degree programs.  CNM currently has transfer agreements with many colleges and universities in New Mexico and elsewhere.

Artificial intelligence is impacting the future of virtually every industry.  Artificial intelligence has acted as the main driver of emerging technologies like big data, robotics and IoT, and it will continue to act as a technological innovator for the foreseeable future.

During January to July of 2020, employers posted 198,000 jobs in occupations related to Artificial Intelligence.  Additionally in 2019, ZipRecruiter reported that AI jobs accounted for four of every 1,000 general job postings and ONET predicts a 10% growth rate in this industry in the next 10 years.
