Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
Explain and promote fire protection and prevention within the community.
Explain the causes of structural, wildland, vehicle, and hazardous materials fires and understand the effects of fires in these settings so they may predict fire behavior while fighting fires.
Perform a prefire plan, and identify the components of a fire protection system.
Understand and coordinate fire service organizations and manage different types of emergencies.
Apply different tactics and strategies needed to mitigate emergencies in a variety of situations.
