Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Certificate of Completion

Upon successful completion of this program, the students will be able to:

  1. Document a minimum of 40 hours of UAS flight time.
  2. Implement Crew Resource Management (CRM) as a routine component of UAS operations.
  3. Discuss the regulatory environment and licensing issues affecting UAS operations as prescibed by the FAA, State, and Local Government. 
  4. Demonstrate the ability to implement a UAS mission in accordance with safe-flight standards. 
  5. Integrate UAS data into a Geographic Information System for analysis.   
  6.  Analyze data collected using Unmanned Aircraft Systems to meet project goals for high-precision measurement, mapping, and other construction-related applications.
  7. Demonstrate an understanding of the operational requirements of fixed and rotary-wing aircraft.
