The Pre-Health Sciences major is an Associate of Arts Degree program that prepares students to apply for health-related programs at CNM, as well as to transfer to UNM or other four-year degree programs in numerous health-related fields. Students who finish the above course plan still have to take (BIO 2711 Pathophysiology II at CNM or NURS 240 at UNM), and Pharmacology (NURS 238 at UNM) for the UNM program, and can take these while they wait to gain acceptance. Admission is competitive; students should have higher than a 3.0 GPA. Students are strongly recommended to meet with a UNM Nursing advisor to discuss their transfer plans.
