Optical Dispensing Basic Level Certification, Certificate of Completion

Description

This program provides students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work in optical dispensing. Standard eyewear and contact lens dispension are covered. Upon completion of the certificate students will be eligible to take the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) and the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) Basic certification exams.

Career Opportunities in Optical Dispensing

This certificate provides students the opportunity to gain the knowledge and technical skills to work as technicians in optician’s offices, eyewear manufacturing plants and retail eyewear sites. Emphasis is on both traditional eyewear and contact lens dispensing. Graduates are eligible for credentialing by the American Board of Opticianry and the National Contact Lens Examiners (ABO-NCLE)
