AIML 2330 - Large Language Models

Pre- or corequisite: AIML 1320 
This course introduces students to the fundamentals and applications of Artificial Intelligence through Large Language Models (LLMs). Students will explore the underlying architecture of LLMs, including transformer networks, and gain hands-on experience using models. Emphasis will be placed on prompt engineering, ethical considerations, model fine-tuning, data sources and retrieval, and practical deployment in real-world scenarios. Through projects and case studies, students will analyze how LLMs are transforming industries such as education, customer service, content generation, and software development. Designed for both technical and non-technical learners, this course provides a strong foundation in understanding and responsibly applying AI.
