Corequisite:MLTS 2279 This course is designed as a comprehensive review of chemistry, hematology/coagulation, immunology, immunohematology, microbiology, urinalysis and body fluids, and laboratory operations with a goal of preparing learners for national MLT level certification exams and maintenance of certification through continuing education.
Learners will be provided with opportunities to explore the role of the medical laboratory as a part of a healthcare team, gain understanding of the requirements for laboratory operations, and focus on clinical applications of laboratory technology.
