1credit hour(s)This course provides an introduction to the Army and basic Soldier skills. Students receive an introduction to the Army Profession and examine what it means to be a professional in the U.S. Army. The overall focus is on developing fundamental knowledge and comprehension of the Army Leadership Requirements Model (ALRM) while understanding the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program, its purpose in the Army, and its advantages for the student. Students also begin learning map reading and land navigation.
