3credit hour(s)Prerequisite:ENGL 1110 or ENGL 1110P This course will introduce students to the basic elements of poetry. This course is a reading and workshop introduction to the fundamental working modes of poetry. Students will be expected to read classic and contemporary poetry and analyze the craft features employed. In this course, students will read, write, and respond to poetry and develop their understanding of poetic conventions.
