2credit hour(s)Corequisite:CVS 1215 + CVS 1293 + CVS 1630 This foundational course provides a comprehensive overview of the vascular system through the study of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology as they relate to diagnostic imaging. Emphasis is placed on the correlation between clinical presentation, disease mechanisms, and sonographic findings. The course emphasizes the application of foundational hemodynamic principles to the interpretation of diagnostic criteria used in duplex ultrasound. The course prepares students to identify normal and abnormal vascular patterns and to interpret diagnostic data in alignment with evidence-based assessment practices.
