3credit hour(s)This course prepares individuals to operate, program, interface, monitor, and optimize industrial robotic systems in an industry 4.0 automation environment for pick and place, basic assembly, machine load, machine unload, and gluing applications. Robot system operation topics studied include robot operation safety, robotic components and end-effectors, robot work envelope, teach pendant operation, robot joint travel limits, and robot jog speed adjustment. Robotic programming topics studied include linear motion, joint motion, circular motion, motion speed control, position offset, data register commands, branching commands, inputs and outputs, looping, waiting commands, and macros.

Upon successful completion of this course the student will be prepared to pass the SACA C-215 Robot System Operations 1 and the C-216 Robot Systems Integration 1 Certification Exams.
