MECH 1101 - Industrial Electricity

Prerequisite: MECH 1001  + MECH 1041  
Pre- or corequisite: MECH 1031 
This course prepares students to install, connect, adjust, operate, analyze, troubleshoot, test and commission industrial electrical and electronic control systems that incorporate programmable logic controllers (PLC), human machine interface panels (HMI), alternating-current (AC) variable frequency drives (VFD), linear direct-current (DC) power supplies, discrete and analog input and output (I/O) devices, and switching motor control circuits and power supplies.

  • Upon successful completion of this course the student will be prepared to pass the SACA C-206 Electrical Systems Installation 1 Certification Exam.
