CIST 2411 - Enterprise Networking

Prerequisite: CIST 1412  
This course describes the architecture and considerations related to designing, securing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise networks. Topics include wide area network (WAN) technologies and quality of service (QoS) mechanisms used for secure remote access and software-defined networking, virtualization, and automation concepts that support the digitalization of networks. Students configure and troubleshoot enterprise networks and learn to identify and protect against cybersecurity threats. Network management tools and key concepts of software-defined networking, including controller-based architectures and how application programming interfaces (APIs) enable network automation, are introduced. This course uses the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum and is preparation for current industry certifications.
