Pre- or corequisite:HLTH 1001 or HLTH 1003 Corequisite:PCT 1090 + PCT 1092 Provides instruction needed to function as a Patient Care Technician including communication with patients and the healthcare team, medical terminology, principles of sterile technique, urinary catheterization, 12-lead EKG acquisition, venipuncture, point of care testing and other concepts related to the care of a patient in an acute care setting.
