DA 1593 - Principles and Techniques of Dental Radiology II Lab
1credit hour(s)Prerequisite:HLTH 1001 Pre- or corequisite:DA 1517 + DA 1519 + DA 1590 + DA 1592 + DA 2513 + DA 2593 This course provides the application of principles with hands-on instruction in bisecting and paralleling techniques used during exposure of intraoral radiographic images. Instruction will include occlusal and localization techniques, digital radiography, cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) with extraoral imaging, identification of anatomical landmarks, and identification of restorative dental materials in a radiograph. Students will demonstrate competency in exposing diagnostic radiographs prior to taking them on human subjects.
