1credit hour(s)Prerequisite:COMM 2120 + PHYS 1115 + BIOL 2225 + (MATH 1220 or MATH 1220P or MATH 1240 or MATH 1430) + department approval Pre- or corequisite: (HLTH 1001 or HLTH 1003) + DMS 1130 + DMS 2110 Corequisite:CVS 1220 + CVS 1293 This course continues studies of anatomy and physiology with a detailed study of fetal, pediatric and adult cardiac and vascular anatomy, embryology, cross-sectional anatomy, hemodynamics and physiology in relation to the field of cardiovascular sonography. This course provides the pharmacological background necessary to function within the clinical setting of the non-invasive cardiology lab. This course will introduce the concepts of electrophysiological principles and interpretation.
