Designed to prepare the School of Health, Wellness, and Public Safety student for the clinical experience in the health discipline the student has chosen to study. The course provides certification in BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers (valid for 2 years) and training in Bloodborne Pathogens, Infection Control, Hazard Communication, HIPAA, Fire Safety and Cultural Sensitivity (valid for 1 year).
Note(s):
This class prepares student for clinicals and work in acute care settings. This class does not include First Aid Certification. The majority of this class is completed online with an in person CPR testing requirement.
