ECED 2862 - Developmentally Appropriate Observation, Assessment, and Learning Environments
3credit hour(s)Prerequisite:EDUC 2250 or SPED 2250 Examines developmentally appropriate practice for PreK-3rd grade classrooms with a specific focus on observational assessment and learning environments. Investigates formal and informal methods of evaluating student growth and learning including observational techniques and content area assessments. Introduces the design of learning environments in all content areas including literacy, social studies, mathematics, science, and the arts. A focus on the importance of play and social interaction will inform this course.
