Explores the developmental influences on early learning, examines the role of language in supporting literacy and numeracy development students and identifies methods that support early literacy development. Uses research-based early literacy principles to develop curriculum that builds phonemic and phonological awareness, print concepts, phonics, vocabulary development, and foundations for fluency and comprehension.
