3credit hour(s)Prerequisite: Department Approval Examines career and technical education history, philosophical foundations, pedagogical practices, policies, goals and objectives, and professional organizations. Course competencies are built upon national, state, and professional standards and include understanding the need to develop and refine beliefs, goals, and strategies for effective teaching practice, the value of diversity in education, and the ethics of professional practice.
