Pre- or corequisite:GEOG 1110 This laboratory course introduces the physical elements of world geography and the study of climate and weather, vegetation, soils, plate tectonics, various landforms, the environmental cycles and the spatial distributions of these components through the use of maps, aerial photographs, and laboratory specimens. Students explore the earth’s biophysical environment and learn to identify and describe the physical geographic patterns that exist across earth’s surface and about the processes that help create these patterns.
