3credit hour(s)Prerequisite: CJUS 1120 + CJUS 1330 This course familiarizes the learner with a broad overview of the unlawful activities of people and groups whose purpose is to profit through legitimate gain by illegal enterprises or advance their agendas through violence. The course also examines terrorism and its relationship to traditional organized crime as well as its impact on law enforcement. The history of organized crime and terrorism will be explored as well as their relevance to criminal justice in today’s world.
