3credit hour(s)Prerequisite: ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Entry Level Certificate + Department Approval Pre- or corequisite:Social and Behavioral Science Requirement Corequisite:PT 2510 + PT 2520 + PT 2592 Expands Medication and Patient Safety practice concepts introduced in the Entry-Level courses. Error reduction strategies are discussed using current Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) guidelines. Pharmacy Technician roles in the Medication Reconciliation and Transition of Care processes are introduced and practiced.
