HMSV 2340 - Professional Issues and Skills in Substance Abuse Treatment
2credit hour(s)Prerequisite:HMSV 1210 Introduces legal, ethical, cultural, and professional issues in substance abuse treatment with the goal of developing student competencies in these areas. State and Federal regulations, laws and codes that protect client confidentiality, cultural values, service parity and equity will be emphasized. Strategic Prevention Framework skills such as team and capacity building, community assessment and planning will also be addressed.
