Analyze the impact of colonialism on the construction of unique Latin American societies, and on the region’s indigenous peoples.
Interpret the political, cultural, and environmental developments that have contributed to interrelations among current Latin American communities and nations.
Course Description Introduction to Latin American Studies presents students with an interdisciplinary examination of the region. Students will examine Latin America through the lenses of economics, political science, history, literature, cultural studies, and/or foreign languages. Students will acquire an understanding of Latin American societies through various perspectives. Credits: 3
