Identify anatomy related to service
Apply the principles of microbiology to sterilization, disinfection, sterility, and infection control.
Apply the scientific principles of aseptic technique.
Demonstrate the properly technique of donning OR attire and PPEs.
Demonstrate techniques of opening and preparing supplies and instruments needed for any operative procedure with the maintenance of sterile technique at all times.
Demonstrate the proper techniques for the surgical hand scrub, gowning and gloving, and assisting of team members.
Demonstrate the proper technique for preparing supplies and instruments on the sterile field.
Demonstrate and explain in detail the procedure for counting instruments, sponges, needles, and other items on the sterile field.
Demonstrate the initial steps for starting a procedure.
Demonstrate intra-operative handling of sterile equipment and supplies.
Follow directions as it applies in lab.
