Demonstrate knowledge of human gross anatomy and sectional anatomy as it applies to diagnostic medical sonography.
Recognize and identify the sonographic appearance of normal anatomic structures, including anatomic variants and normal Doppler patterns.
Demonstrate knowledge of the body planes as they apply to sonographic sections.
Demonstrate knowledge of image optimization techniques.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of imaging protocols.
Course Description Basic general and vascular sonographic concepts and anatomy lab. Laboratory sessions will introduce students to basic scanning techniques, sonographic anatomy and imaging protocols.
