Course Description Introduces students to the principles of providing basic patient care including communication, patient safety and infection control with practice in gloving, gowning and sterile procedures. Provides instruction and supervised practice of vital signs, transfer, moving and positioning techniques, protection of airway, Oxygen delivery devices, basic ECG monitoring, drains, tubes, IVs, pumps and other considerations for the hospitalized patient.
