Identify key concepts & issues in the interdisciplinary fields of LGBTQ and queer studies
Sociologically analyze the various social, economic, and political structures & processes which influence those issues
Articulate how sexual orientation, sexuality, and sex/gender are socially constructed
Discuss how identities are influenced by social institutions and macro-level forces
Analyze intersections between inequality based on orientation and/or gender and other systems of stratification, i.e., race/ethnicity, social class, age, and nationality.
Evaluate possible solutions for making social institutions more inclusive and equitable.
