Course Description A detailed analysis of community-based corrections. The philosophical basis of community corrections will be explored in the context of diversion, pretrial release programs, probation, parole, intermediate sanctions, alternative sanctions, mental health and substance abuse treatment in both the juvenile and adult systems.
