This course focuses on how common traumatic and medical emergencies affect normal anatomy and physiology for patients of all ages. This course complements other required EMS courses to show how both physical and drug intervention attempt to return a diseased or injured body to a normal physiologic state. Meets or exceeds the cognitive objectives of the National EMS Education Standards and incorporates the NM EMT-Paramedic Scope of Practice. Note(s)
