Applies concepts and techniques begun in BIOT 1510/1570 to the characterization of proteins. Techniques include protein isolation, denaturing and nondenaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, isoelectric focusing, 2-D gel analysis, recombinant protein purification and column chromatography.
