ASTR 1010 - Introduction to Astronomy I

3 credit hour(s)

Prerequisite: RDG 0950  or appropriate placement scores . Recommended: MATH 0940 .*

Introduces the science of astronomy, focusing on the historical development of astronomy, radiation, spectroscopy, telescopes and the exploration of the solar system.

*A working knowledge of basic algebra will be useful in this course.
