Provides theory and experience with protocols used to characterize and manipulate nucleic acids. Builds on techniques learned in Biotechnology I. Techniques include DNA isolation and quantification, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, recombinant DNA technology, cloning, DNA sequencing, site-directed mutagenesis, tissue culture and basic bioinformatics skills.
