Students planning to transfer to the University of New Mexico (UNM) should keep in mind that the UNM English program offers various concentrations within English.

Students from CNM seeking a baccalaureate degree may also transfer to other institutions. Students should always refer to the catalog of their intended transfer institution for admission, program, course, and graduation requirements.

Program Approved Electives


The University of New Mexico (UNM) requires all English Majors to take ENG 2250 - Analysis of Literature . UNM has added early and late literature core requirements. Students must complete one (1) course from each of the following sequences to meet the early and late literature core requirements:
