Presents acoustical physics, sound production and propagation, interaction of sound and matter, instrument options, transducer selection, principles of ultrasound instruments and modes of operation, operator control options. This course also includes introduction to Doppler principles and operation. Lab allows students to apply principles to practice in case-based learning activities. Note(s) 15 theory + 45 lab hours
