“Out-of-Cycle” designates updates to the CNM curriculum that are significant, that meet specific criteria for necessity and timeliness, and that have passed screening by the College Curriculum Committee and other appropriate stakeholder groups.

Restructured Program of Study

Emergency Medical Services (AAS) Paramedic Concentration

This program was overhauled  to enhance the EMS/Paramedic student field experience and  to meet updated standards of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions and the new NMREP Psychomotor Competency Package requirements. In sum, the Paramedic AAS program went from a 3-term cohorted program to a 4-term cohorted program culminating in an 8-week Capstone Field Internship in its final term. *

The Emergency Medical Services (AAS) Paramedic Concentration now requires the satisfactory completion of 67-70 credit hours, down from 72-74 credit hours.
